Edible Oil Manufacturing Proposal – Implementation of oil extraction plant in Botswana
Watson and Fine UK Ltd. proposes the establishment of a cooking oil manufacturing plant in Botswana, to address the dependence on importation of edible oil in the country. With rising prices hindering access for many households, our strategy aims to establish local production of sunflower and palm oil, reducing dependence on imports. Watson and Fine is dedicated to making Botswana self-sufficient in oil production by 2025, positioning itself to export to other countries such as DRC thereafter.
Project Objectives
- Alleviate the importation of edible oil in Botswana.
- Initiate local production of sunflower and palm oil to reduce dependence on imports.
- Make Botswana self-sufficient in oil production by 2026.
- Establish Watson and Fine as the leading and reliable manufacturer of edible oil in Botswana.
MAIZE MILLING
We hereby present a comprehensive project outline and profile for the establishment of a state-of-the-art maize milling factory in Botswana. The primary objective of this initiative is to meet the dietary needs of local and neighboring country citizens for whom maize is a staple food.
BOTSWANA AGRICULTURE PROJECT
Our objective is to establish farming operations to supply raw materials for a maize mill factory and an (edible) oil manufacturing plant. We also intend to grow tomatoes for a canning project and provide cattle for food consumption in Botswana and for export to neighboring countries
Francistown Tomato Company
Tomato farming stands out as the most lucrative venture in the agricultural sector, and we are poised to capitalize on this unique opportunity in Botswana.
We intend to establish a cutting-edge tomato farm of 1,000ha and canning factory that can produce over 10,000t of tomato paste. This will be established near Francistown which has the perfect conditions for the establishment of a mega farming tomato and manufacturing project and business.
This venture is not just about processing tomatoes; it’s a strategic move to boost Botswana’s economy by exporting premium tomato products and earning vital foreign currency.
With the right conditions this could become the biggest tomato farm in South Africa if not Africa.
