AfCTA – the African Union

  • Once fully operational, the African Continent Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) will establish a market of 1.2 billion people with a combined GDP of US$2.5 trillion. This could be an economic game changer for a continent that imports
    some $40Bn worth of food each year.
  • The AFU will work closely with the AU in matters relating to intensifying cooperation and efforts to achieve a better life for the people of Africa and promote international cooperation through trade of agricultural products,
    services, technology and training.
